Mongolian Beef with Stir Fry Noodles

Mongolian Beef with Stir Fry Noodles 🌶 you can make this together or separately as two meals. I used arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch that I bought from @saveco. Arrowroot is a starch obtained from tropical plants and is considered to be healthier than cornstarch.

Ingredients:

200 g steak of choice

1 head of broccoli, cut up

1 carrot, pealed and sliced

1 serving of mushrooms, sliced (I used enoki mushrooms from @gofresh.kwt )

1 serving noodles cooked according to packaging (optional)

2 tbs spring onions, sliced

2 tsp arrowroot powder

Sesame oil

For the sauce:

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 knob ginger, minced

1 tsp arrowroot powder

1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce

2 tbs agave or maple syrup

1 tsp chili paste

1 tbs sesame oil

2 tbs rice vinegar

1. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together in a small bowl.

2. Slice the steak against the grain and place the slices in a bowl.

3. Sprinkle 2 tsp of arrowroot powder, and a sprinkle of salt, and pepper on the steak and coat the pieces well.

4. Heat a skillet or wok on high heat with some sesame oil to coat the bottom of the pan.

5. Line up the steak on the pan in one layer. Cook for 3 minute or once it begins to brown, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes.

6. Take it off the pan and place it on a plate while you continue with the veggies.

7. Place your veggies on the same pan and cook until the broccoli turns tender. You can add 1/4 cup of water and cover the pan to steam and speed up the process.

8. Add half of the sauce to the vegetables and add the noodles. Toss well.

9. Remove the noodles from the pan and add the remaining sauce with the steak. Heat until the sauce thickens.

10. Combine the steak with the noodles. Sprinkle with some sesame seeds.

Enjoy 😍
