Everyday Oatmeal

I am a huge fan of oatmeal and have it almost everyday for breakfast. Not only does it have a million health benefits, but I find that it keeps me full for a long time. Here is the recipe I use:

Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk

1/2 cup rolled oats (not quick cooking)

1 banana

1 teaspoon Chia Seeds

Cinnamon

Pumpkin spice

Method:

In a deep pot on low-medium heat, pour in 1 cup of almond milk and add in the chia seeds. Allow the chia seeds to soak in the milk and expand for a few minutes. Next, add in your oats and allow the oats to absorb the almond milk for 2-3 minutes. Mash up half a banana and add it into the pot (this will add creaminess and sweetness to your oats). Add a dash of cinnamon and pumpkin spice (optional) for flavor. Once everything is mixed in put into a bowl and serve!

Here I topped my oats with the other half of the banana, raspberries, @js_bakery chocolate almond butter, and @gsgranola granola, but I use different toppings depending on the day. Sometimes if I’m really hungry I’ll also mix in a scoop of chocolate protein powder into my oatmeal to make it even more filling.
