Vegetable Dumplings
I got my dumpling wrappers from @singareamarket. It came frozen and you need to de thaw it beforehand.
Ingredients:
3 cups chopped veggies of choice (I used mushrooms, bell peppers, and baby corn)
For the sauce:
2 tbs green onion
A couple of slices of chili (opt)
1 knob ginger, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs sesame oil
1 tsp sriracha or chili paste
2 tsp rice vinegar
1/4 tsp arrowroot powder (optional)
20 dumpling wrappers
Procedure:
1. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together in a bowl, then add most of it to the vegetables and leave a little for your dipping sauce.
2. Toss the veggies with the sauce and let it sit for 10 minutes to soak up the flavor.
3. Take 1 dumpling wrapper, dip your finger in water and paint the edges of the wrapper.
4. Scoop 1 tsp of the veggie mixture and add it to the center of your wrapper, then fold it in half and press all the edges together.
5. Repeat for all the wrappers.
6. Steam for 15-20 minutes, until the dumplings turn a little translucent. (The dumplings photographed should have been steamed for longer)
7. Serve with the remainder of the sauce.
Enjoy 😋
